Welcome to Our Chapter
Midwest Romance Writers (MRW) is a Kansas City area chapter of Romance Writers of America® (RWA). MRW was founded in 2002 and our first meeting was held at the Antioch Branch of the Johnson County Library later that same year.
We are a professional organization with the primary function of educating and networking with other writers in an atmosphere of mutual respect and personal responsibility. We never lose sight that romance writing is a business and an important part of the publishing industry.
Our members have attained a varied history of writing success. Forty-four percent of our membership is published with the other fifty-six percent right on track to follow. All our members benefit from the loving, understanding, and enthusiastic support we share with each other. Success is revered and celebrated by all here. We are friends who care and share.

To nurture each other and strive for excellence, to educate ourselves, and to support our members' writing and publication goals within the various romance genres.
